The Glenn Miller Orchestra is performing a very special concert at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth, to mark the 60th Anniversary of D-Day. Sit back and relive the spirit of the 1940s with a programme that includes favourites In The Mood, Moonlight Serenade and many more. The mess tent will be open serving drink and food, and the evening will be topped off with a fireworks spectacular! A programme of events in and around Falmouth to remember and pay tribute to Allied Forces action at Dunkirk (1940), St Nazaire (1942 and D-Day (1944)

10 - 16 July, Dragon Gold Cup, Falmouth.
A prestigous sailing event for these elegent yachts

July - August, Tall Ship Visits, Falmouth.
Familiar visits to Falmouth and open to the public during their stay.

6 - 7 August, Falmouth Classics, Falmouth.
Annual classics regatta for traditional boats ranging from 6ft to 60ftcreating great spectacle with some of the most graceful vessels in the world.

8 - 14 August, Falmouth Week, Falmouth.
International recognised sailing regatta complemented by lively shore-side entertainment.

20 - 22 August, West of England Steam Rally, St Agnes.
Largest steam rally in the south west with over 60 steam engines.

4 September, Bolingey September Fayre.
Revival of St Piran's Feast - a celebration of local heritage including a ceili, live traditional music and dance, crafts, stalls, lamb roast and games.

10 - 12 September, Falmouth Festival of Literature and Arts, Falmouth.
Lectures by eminent figures from the world of literature, current affairs and the arts.

13 - 18 October, Lowender Peran, Perranporth.
Celebrating Cornwall's heritage and cultural links in a week long programme of concerts, ceilis and workshops, providing entertainment as well as an opportunity to actively participate.

Early November, Goel Fylm: Cornwall Film Festival, Falmouth.
Celebrating Cornish film and its influences and a chance to met the film makers during an excellent weekend packed with films.

Late November/Early December (tbc), Truro City of Lights, Truro.
Lanterns made of willow and tissue paper are paraded through the streets of Truro, creating a spectacle of light.
